Ian Nicholson is a seasoned hospitality professional with over twenty-seven years of domestic and international hotel management and development experience, specifically focused on unique, one-of-a-kind hotel environments. He has collaborated with some of the hospitality industry’s most iconoclastic visionaries and creative minds and brings a unique resumé, point of view and perspective to Alchemy's projects.
Prior to forming PARTNERS & ALCHEMY, he was CEO of Faena Hotels, overseeing the $1BN development of the Faena District urban project in Miami Beach, FL. Prior to Faena he served as Sr. Vice President of Operations and Managing Director for HotelsAB, the lifestyle hotel group comprised of eight unique hotels owned and operated by renowned hotelier André Balazs including the Standard Hotel Brand, The Chateau Marmont, Mercer and Sunset Beach Hotels. He also held the role of Area General Manager for the Soho Grand and the Tribeca Grand Hotels in NYC and worked for noted hotelier and nightlife visionary Ian Schrager as Opening General Manager of the 1000-room Hudson Hotel in New York. Nicholson started his career with the InterContinental Hotel Group where he worked for 12 years and held various management positions in Miami, New York, London and Amsterdam.
Kyle Hotchkiss Carone
Founder + Creative Director
Kyle Hotchkiss Carone is a creative director specializing in the hotel and food and beverage industries, with a specific focus on concept ideation, design and branding, and the building of strategic partnerships. Hotchkiss Carone’s career took root in the hotel industry, where he worked on hotel and food and beverage launches with companies including Morgans Hotel Group, Soho House Group, and Andaz Hotels. He then served as Creative Director for Bizzi & Partners, a Milan-based real estate development firm with a focus on the hospitality industry.
At Bizzi & Partners he directed brand vision for properties in the company’s portfolio, in addition to helping reposition The Setai Fifth Avenue, the company’s flagship property.
Hotchkiss Carone’s experience also extends to the development side, having worked with Andre Balazs Properties to open The Standard New York and to rebrand Balazs’ private Rhinebeck residence, The Locusts, into an upscale retreat. Hotchkiss Carone is also the co-founder of Host Committee, a tech start up in the group event/incentives space. He currently serves as a managing partner at Café Clover and a consultant to hotel developers including Ian Schrager and Sean MacPherson.

Chief Intelligence Officer
Adam Patrizia brings over 16 years of experience in consumer marketing, customer relationship servicing, and business development to the industry. Previously, Patrizia founded Jackal+Co., a consultancy group that advised authentic hotels and restaurants on brand growth, consumer servicing and culture programming. Patrizia served as CMO at Hotel Insider, where he was responsible for all brand redevelopment, product strategy, customer relationship management, brand partnerships, and more.
As a seasoned hospitality professional with an extensive background in the marketing industry, Patrizia brings valuable assets to grow consumer engagement and company development through innovative and efficient techniques. Patrizia has also served as Director, Customer Relationship Management at HotelsAB, where he focused on customer interaction strategies and servicing throughout eight Andre Balazs properties across the U.S. Patrizia has also held significant marketing positions at luxury publications and leading agencies including Departures magazine, Surface magazine, and LaForce+Stevens.
Advisor - Acquisitions
Janine has built a career out of turning edgy real estate ideas into financially viable companies. She recently founded Stayawhile, whose mission is to provide global nomads with beautiful, private, consistently enjoyable and high quality apartments around the world. Prior to Stayawhile, she worked with two startups in the housing space, Roam Coliving and Ollie Microapartments. Prior to that, she was head of real estate development for Andre Balazs’ Standard Hotels. She began her career at private equity firm NorthStar Capital (the financial sponsor behind Morgans Hotel Group) where she spent 8 years covering the hospitality sector. Over her career, she has managed over $1 billion in real estate developments from origination to exit/IPO.
